Applying CSS in Reports

Whenever we create a report we will apply some of the common styles and formats (For example, the font style, font size, font color, background color etc.,) repeatedly for each new report. Instead, of repeating every time, we can write those common styles and formats in a CSS file and import it to the new report. So, that, we can apply the styles and formats wherever in the report by just selecting the specified style.

Reset the Root Password of MySQL Server in *nix

Login as root to the Unix-like (Unix, Linux or BSD) machine with the MySQL server.

Stop the MySQL server by using either of the following command

#/etc/init.d/mysql stop

# mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables

Setting the JVM Heap Sizes in

Find the below lines and change as shown in below example

For example:

JAVA_OPTS="$JAVA_OPTS$PROGNAME -Xms256m -Xmx1280m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m"

Error while shutting down server in *nix


When stopping the server using throws the exception

Exception in thread "main" javax.naming.CommunicationException: Could not obtain connection to any of these urls: localhost:1099

MySql case sensitivity problem in *nix systems.

In *nix systems,

select USER_NAME from USER;

is different from

select user_name from user;

It is so because tables and databases are represented as files (filenames are used as identifiers).

Error while taking dump from Mysql


You will get errors while taking backup/dump from Mysql

"mysqldump: mysqldump: Can't create/write to file 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\#sql_8d0_0.MYI' (Errcode: 13) "


"Can't create/write to file 'c:\windows\temp\#sql_a4c_0.MYD' (Errcode: 17) "
